Zonos as Asian Lord of Naga

Description

Warning-I don't wanna hear anyone claiming anything about Chinese dragon :x Hindu Naga and Chinese dragon aren't resembleed that much, at least Naga doesn't fly... This should be the last tablet practicing before I'll start on any serious work again.

Zonos, my character who’s a human evolved from blue dragon (sea dragon), again is forced to ‘cosplay’ :XD: This time he becomes Lord Naga according to some Asian myth. It seems the more I become used to my tablet, the crazier subject I choose to draw, I've never thought about drawing Thai Naga in this form but after I see all of the Nagas around here, which is human with serpent's lower body, I decided to give it a try...and probably never try again. Comparing to the old piece, he looks a lot more mature thanthe way he was drawn year and a half ago - [link]

Lord of Naga can summon himself into a man but will have those Naga heads behind him. In Thai myth, there isn’t a story about Naga transform into human but in ancient myth of Buddhism it has; one Naga wanted to get into the monkhood as he had faith in Lord Buddha so he transformed himself into a human and took monkhood and later he was discovered that he was a Naga and so Lord Buddha said he couldn’t take monkhood since he’s an animal. The Naga begged that he wanted to show some respect to Lord Buddha and so there’s one imaginary of Buddha statue with Naga over the head of Lord Buddha.

Where did I get the form of Naga man with those serpent heads? From ancient Sri Lankan art, in some ruins the guard stone of the temple usually sculpted into a summoning form of Naga as human holding a water pot along with a couple of dwarfs – like one in this link Sri Lankan Naga man, you can see he has the heads of Naga behind his human head. However, I drew the Naga in local Thai style that made lots of people mistaken them for dragons; nah, in Thai art we don't have dragon, only Naga. Thai Nagas have tail fins because they live underwater and they have to swim

...If I regain enough craziness again I probably color it, now I need to rest before I'll die.

This piece is beautiful! I was wondering if I could have your permission to use this art as a character picture on a MUD RP website called Hollow (hollowgame.com) your artist name and a link to this picture will be provided on the profile if given permission.
